What is a Partner?

At MVCC, we don’t call ourselves members of a church, we are the church.  When someone decides they want to take the next step and become a part of what we are doing rather than just being a spectator on Sundays, we ask that they Partner with us in our Mission as a body of Christ.

Why Partnership?

• It provides a spiritual family to support and encourage us in our walk with Christ (Gal. 6:1-2; Heb.10:24-25).
• It gives us a place to discover and use our gifts in ministry (1 Cor. 12:4-27).
• It places us under the spiritual protection of godly leaders (Heb.13:17;  Acts 20:28-29).
  It gives us the accountability we need to grow (Eph.5:21).

 The Real Church

We must rediscover the true meaning of the “Church”.

1.     What it is not:
- The church is not a building – It’s a group of people.
- The church is not an institution – It’s a divine organism.
- The church is not men’s invention – It’s God’s design.
- The church is not an option – It’s a mandate for every believer.

2.     What is a Biblical Church?
- A community of believers upholding Jesus Christ as Lord, the Bible as God’s Word and organized for the purpose of giving God glory for who He is, building up one another, and sharing our experience with others.
- A multitude of local churches (1 Thess.2:14;  Rom. 16:4;  Acts15:41) make up the Complete Church of Christ (Matt.16:18;  Eph. 5:23).
